| 2006: Joined the starting lineup for three of the final five contests ... recorded five tackles, three of them solos, vs. USF in his first start ... honored as the Scout Team Defensive Player of the Week at Louisville and then made a pair of stops in the game ... hurried the pass that led to an interception and 84-yard touchdown return in the win over Rutgers ... collected two tackles at West Virginia.
2005: Provided depth to the defensive line...saw play in four games.
2004: Redshirted.
Beaver Local High School: Eastern Ohio District Player of the Year and a second team All-Ohio selection as a senior, under the coaching of Rich Wright... three-year starter, playing fullback and defensive end as a senior... named to the Columbia County and Quad County all-star teams... earned All-Eastern Ohio District honors in each of his final three seasons... named area player of the year by the East Liverpool Journal... amassed of 217 career tackles and 26 sacks...three-time state tournament qualifier in wrestling... Ohio Division II champion in 2002 and a runner-up in 2003.
Adam Lee Hoppel: Born May 30, 1985 in Lisbon, Ohio... son of Carl and Patty Hoppel... father was a three-time state wrestling champion... uncle Jim Hoppel wrestled at Bowling Green and is a member of the Falcons' Athletic Hall of Fame...cousin Mark Hoppel was an NCAA Division III wrestling national champion at Muskingum.
