Crockett To The 'Cats

Cincinnati received its first running back commitment for the class of 2011 in the form of a Washington, D.C. speedster.

Malcolm Crockett gave his verbal commitment to the Cincinnati Bearcats late Tuesday night.

Crockett has a 4.55 40-yard dash and is rated as the No. 41 running back prospect in his class according to Scout.com and had 1,100 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior for Edison-Friendship Public Charter School in D.C.

Crockett chose UC over Michigan, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, New Mexico, North Carolina State, Temple, West Virginia and Rutgers, all who had offered him a scholarship.

Crockett makes the 11th verbal for the Bearcats in the 2011 class and is the first running back.
