Maple Heights (OH) wide receiver Shaquille Washington announced his verbal commitment to the University of Cincinnati on Wednesday at a press conference at his high school.

Shaquille Washington is ranked as the No. 70 wide receiver in the 2011 class by Scout.com and is a three-star prospect. Washington becomes the second wide receiver to commit to Cincinnati for the 2011 class, joining three-star wide out Alex Chisum, and is the seventh player overall to verbally pledge to the Bearcats.

Washington held 11 offers and chose Cincinnati over UCLA, Duke, Boston College and Illinois among others.

Washington, 5’9” 160 lbs, plays quarterback for his high school team but projects as a slot receiver in the college game.
