Adaris Bellamy To Cincinnati?

That is the talk as the former South Florida commit from the Class of 2009 is looking for a college program to call home.

Adaris Bellamy was the first verbal commitment for South Florida’s Class of 2009. The 3-star and 73rd overall running back in the country in the 2009 class stands 5-foot-10, 215-pounds with 4.55 speed.

Bellamy’s junior campaign saw him rush for over 1,900 yards and 20 touchdowns making him one of Florida’s top prospects before grade issues slowed his recruiting and entrance into South Florida.

After being denied entrance into USF, Bellamy attended Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia and finished his work early to gain NCAA Clearinghouse status.

With the coaching change at South Florida, Bellamy found himself without a scholarship and according to his former high school coach Mark Everett, Cincinnati looks to be offering him a home.

In a story posted on, Everett said the following.

“I think it’s a good opportunity for him. Cincinnati is on a quarters system, Bellamy can start classes there when the next quarter begins on Feb. 15, allowing him to practice with the Bearcats this spring.”

Bellamy has a great physical build and shows great power and explosiveness from his lower body and would be a great back to pair with Isaiah Pead.
