Game Balls Miami

Game Balls Miami

Here are Bearcat Insiders "Game Balls" for Saturday's victory at Miami. So who has Bearcat Insider selected as winners of Game Balls for the Bearcats victory over Miami? The list may surprise you.

Jacob Ramsey – RB

Ramsey makes this list because he's the first 100-yard rusher since the opening game of the 2007 season. The Columbus product picked up a net of 103 yards on 12 carries to average 8.6 yards per carry. Jacob also scored 3 touchdowns on the day. This could help the Bearcats offense as teams down the road will have to keep an eye on Ramsey and the other running backs in the Bearcats attack.

Isaiah Pead – RB

Pead only had five carries but picked up 60 yards rushing while also pulling down 3 passes for 40 yards.

Armon Binns – WR

Mardy Gilyard has told any who listen that he expects a lot out of Binns and the California native continues to improve each week. On Saturday he pulled down 5 balls for 83 yards and a touchdown.

Mardy Gilyard – WR

Mardy continues to post good numbers and while he only had 75 yards receiving he did keep him touchdown streak alive.

Jake Rogers – K-P

Rogers had three punts with a 46.7 average and 1 inside the 20. Using both the rugby kick and traditional kick, Rogers has shown the ability to help the Bearcats special teams.

Andre Revels – LB

The senior continues to add to his tackle count posting 13 total tackles in his last game against the RedHawks.

Alex Daniels – DE

Another senior who continues to get better each week and show he's providing some leadership in the process. Daniels posted 8 total tackles on the day but it was his 4 sacks for a loss of 37 yards that really helped the Bearcats.

J.K. Schaffer – LB

The sophomore continues to prove he's going to be a good one as he learns more about the college game. On Saturday he posted 8 total tackles and had a key interception as Miami was getting ready to score.

Dominique Battle – CB

After missing the Fresno State game Battle came back and posted 5 total tackles while showing no ill effects from his injury.

Derek Wolfe – DT

If not for the performance of Daniels everyone would be talking about Wolfe and his 5 total tackles and 2 sacks.

Marcus Waugh – LB

Marcus may not get the reps he was hoping to have this year but he made good use of the ones he got Saturday by posting 3 tackles and giving the Bearcats their second interception of the day and returning it for 14 yards.

Charlie Howard – Special Teams

Dependable Charley posted 5 total tackles on the day and continues to do the small things that don't show up on the stat sheet.
