John Crist: How much contact did you have with the Bears during the draft process? I know you ended up going to the Cowboys, but combine, pre-draft workouts – were the Bears a team on your radar coming into draft weekend?

DeAngelo Smith: Yeah, I think they were because I had a workout with them. I figure if somebody's coming in to work you out, they are interested in you. So they came in and worked me out, and I guess I've been on their radar since then.
