Patrick O’Donnell – Punter
For the freshman to be placed in the position to kick on the road in a hostile crowd shows that Brian Kelly and Mike Elston are liking what they are seeing. On the day O’Donnell punted three times with an average of 42.3 yards and 1 inside the 20-yard line.
D.J. Woods – WR
The sophomore is starting to find his stride as teams look to shutdown Mardy Gilyard. Saturday saw Woods pull down 7 balls for 117 yards and 1 touchdown. The numbers could have been bigger if he kept his feet on one play.
Isaiah Pead – RB
Another of the top sophomores on the Bearcats roster showed his worth as he rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown while also pulling down 3 balls for 39 yards.
Mardy Gilyard – WR
Despite getting heavy coverage Gilyard posted 9 catches for 65 yards and 1 touchdown. On the day he posted 133 total all-purpose yards on the day.
Tony Pike – QB
Pike has made it each week of the season and Saturday saw another good performance as he passed for 332 yards going 31-49-1 with 2 touchdowns. As Tony continues to progress through the season he’ll start to be talked about as one of the top quarterbacks in the country.
Armon Binns – WR
Binns posted 6 catches for 61 yards on Saturday and is starting to look more comfortable in his role.
Jason Kelce – OG
Kelce played a solid game and continues to show his overall improvement as an offensive lineman.
