Bearcat Insider stopped by Roger Bacon High School on Thursday afternoon to check out two future Bearcats as they get ready for their final prep season.

This week marks the start of the 2009 Ohio High School football season and two future Bearcats are looking to open a few eyes before putting on the Red & Black.

Future Bearcats Jorian Hudson and Solomon Tentman are excited about their future. But it’s the days and months leading up to their college careers that have them even more excited at this time.

On Bearcat Insiders visit the Spartans were preparing for their opening night opponent Mount Healthy.

During our visit we took particular note of Hudson and Tentman. Both play multiple positions for the Spartans with Hudson lining up at Defensive Back and Wide Receiver as well as being the return man for both punts and kick offs.

Tentman will be lining up as a Running Back, Linebacker and Defense End.

Both players were recruited to Cincinnati by Kerry Coombs; Tentman as an Inside Linebacker and Hudson as an athlete that may play either Wide Receiver or Defensive Back. Both players report that they have worked hard in the off-season. Hudson is a two sport star for the Spartans playing basketball and worked on his cardio with lots of running. Tentman lifted in the Spartan weight room everyday he could to prepare himself for the coming season and his future as a Bearcat.

Both players grew up in Cincinnati but neither were Bearcat football fans in the past. But after receiving offers from the hometown team they quickly chose to stay home.

Both expressed enthusiastically their belief that the Bearcats can play for a National Championship and see a program on the rise. Hudson did grow up as a Bearcat Basketball fan and continues to attend Bearcat basketball games. Both hope to attend some games this season but are focused on trying to bring a league championship to Roger Bacon.

While not a fan previously Solomon really looks forward to playing ‘down the street’ from his house where his family can continue to see him play. Solomon played his youth football at St. Clement and lives just a short walk from Bron Bacevich Memorial Stadium, home of the Spartans. Jorian played his youth football in the Winton Woods system.

As for their future academic pursuits Solomon plans to major in Criminal Justice and Jorian as an Athletic Trainer. Insider wishes these young men good luck on the upcoming season and especially for their future in the Bearcat program.
