2010 Linebacker Pledges Bearcats

With all the news surrounding all the recruiting of the Class of 2009 for the Bearcats, it may be the news of the first commitment for the Class of 2010 that sets the stage for even bigger things to come.

Brian Kelly has shown he’s not afraid to go out and recruit the best players he finds. Add Preston Brown to the list of players to find the Bearcats head coach as a major fan.

Brown showed the Bearcats he had the tools they look for and the hometown team made sure he understood they wanted him as part of the program. Brown, who is the son of a longtime coach wasted little time and gave the Bearcats his verbal commitment on Saturday morning.

Scouting Report

Preston Brown brings great physical size and athletic ability to the field. He’s able to stop the run or drop into coverage and take on a receiver. A major hitter capable of going sideline to sideline, Brown is a major prospect capable of playing for any team in college football.
