With so much happening we’ve had to delay putting out our talk with defensive lineman Adam Bellamy from Aurora High School in Aurora, Ohio. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Bellamy left Cincinnati last Sunday and spoke with Bearcat Insider about his visit.
“It was my first visit to any university or school that has offered me,” Bellamy told Bearcat Insider about taking his first visit. “I’m just soaking it all in and it was pretty amazing to see everything Cincinnati had to offer.”
While Bellamy holds a handful of offers and was an invite to Ohio State this weekend he’s left impressed with what he saw.
“You can see the coaches are experienced and know what they’re doing. Everything is new and very high tech and that was very impressive.”
With Ohio State and Cincinnati in the rear more visits await Bellamy as he works them in with his baseball schedule.
“I’m looking at visiting Akron, Miami Ohio, Indiana and Michigan State this spring but it will depend upon how things work out with my baseball schedule.”
For Bellamy the Cincinnati visit allowed him to enjoy a college basketball game and take a tour of Cincinnati’s facilities.
“The game was fun and gave me a chance to talk with several of the coaches. I was real impressed with the weight room but would like to get more information on the dorms the players stay in the next time I visit. “
On a grading scale how did the Bearcats grade out for Bellamy.
“I’d give Cincinnati a firm “A” as I didn’t expect some of the things I’d experienced while on my visit. The staff is great and I look forward to making a return trip this spring or summer.”
We’ll continue to follow Adam in the coming months as his recruiting heats up.
