I was more than excited when Dave Berk asked me to do some diary entries for
the Bearcat Insider. There are a ton of things going on right now with my career at Cincinnati being done, that I'm sure some people are curious to know.
With graduation and the possibility of a NFL career around the corner, things have picked up tremendously. For me, making it to the NFL is not all about the money, its more to once again prove all the experts and doubters wrong.
Yes, I am 5' 10''195lbs and I'll probably run in the 4.5s in the 40. I'm not the biggest, fastest, or strongest at my position, but I've been told that before.
The Big Ten schools said I was too small and the West Coast schools said I was too slow. So once again, I’m back to square one.
I am currently training with Coach Longo as well as Cliff Marshall at Ignition. Things are going really well and I'm excited to have the opportunity to play in the NFL.
The only problem with the NFL is they don't have a test for HEART. So until they have a test that says my heart isn't big enough to fight through the iron gates of the NFL, I will continue my journey to accomplish one more goal on my list.
Five things that drive me towards my goals: "KONJO" which means fighting spirit, Family, Hard Work, Determination, and last but not least "HEART".
I hope you enjoy this diary and the entries that will follow. Thanks for being Bearcat fans and for the support you gave me and my teammates during my UC career.
Until next time,
