The Big East announced their weekly award winners for this past weekend and the Kenton, Ohio native was honored for his outstanding performance in the Bearcats 52-31 victory over Syracuse.

Each week the Big East honors those players who took their game to another level during the weekend. Saturday night University of Cincinnati quarterback Ben Mauk did just that with his record setting performance.

In winning Big East Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, Mauk completed 29 of 42 passes for a career-high 431 yards and four touchdowns while adding a rushing touchdown in the Bearcats’ 52-31 win at Syracuse. He engineered six scoring drives that lasted 1:38 or less in duration and has set Cincinnati’s single-season record with 27 touchdown passes.
