Bearcat Basketball Fan Jam

Saturday, October 20th is another big day for Cincinnati Bearcat athletics. The football squad will be in Pittsburgh for a noon kickoff while the men’s basketball team will celebrate its first Fan Jam starting at 3:15.
If Bearcat fans can’t attend the football game in
Pittsburgh
, Bearcat Insider recommends you find a Clifton area restaurant to watch the game and then head over to the Fan Jam.
The Fan Jam will commence was a “Champions Walk” at 3:15. Coach Cronin will lead the procession at the Oscar Robertson statue in Victory Plaza just outside the Lindner Building. The march will proceed for one mile through campus before heading into Fifth Third Arena. Participation in the “Champions Walk” is free and the first 1,000 fans to complete the one mile walk will receive a complimentary Adidas UC hat. .
The activities will continue inside the arena, but there will be a $5 charge for admittance. A portion of this fee will go toward helping with medical expenses for UC Dance Team member Kristin Drew, who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. Once again, the first 1,000 Bearcat supporters entering Fifth Third Arena will receive a complimentary gift (UC basketball t-shirt) for their support of the event. Those t-shirts can be used to get autographs from Bearcat players at the conclusion of the day’s activities. .
At approximately 4:30, the Bearcat men’s basketball squad will have a 30 minute scrimmage, and Coach Cronin and selected members of this year’s team will address the crowd. At the conclusion of the scrimmage, Bearcat players will have their autograph session. .
A number of Bearcat basketball recruits are also expected to attend Saturday’s event so it’s VERY important for UC fans to attend and show their support for the program. Bearcat Insider will also be in attendance to provide a full report of the day’s activities. .
