On Sunday Derek Wolfe impressed the Bearcats coaching staff enough to earn a scholarship offer. For those in the recruiting world Wolfe was one of those players who looked good on film but few had seen in person. Wolfe changed all of that Sunday and was one of the top overall performers at the Bearcats first Senior Advance Camp.
Bearcat Insider spoke to and NAIA football coach who worked the camp this week about Wolfe’s performance and he stressed the kid can play anywhere in the country. He’s got great bend and his upside is tremendous.
This is a major prospect that was going under the radar and will become a major factor in the Bearcats chase for a Big East Championship.
The Bearcats Express also made another stop in the state of Michigan and picked up a verbal from running back George Winn. Winn has all the tools needed for Brian Kelly’s spread attack and will provide the speed and running ability Bearcat fans have seen from other Big East programs.
Bearcat Insider will be talking with both prospects about their commitments.
