Bearcat Insider spoke this evening with Camerron and he confirmed that he has accepted an offer to play for UC. In speaking with him the keys that really made him choose Cincinnati was the coaching staff, they made him feel very comfortable with the way the presented the program and the University. In addition he really liked the city and the facilities at UC. The fact that this is an up and coming program in the Big East was also significant.
Another important area that he brought up was academics. Camerron plans on majoring in business, either Business Management or Marketing. One thing that I noticed right away was how bright Camerron was and how well he presented himself. His parents are naturally excited and felt Cincinnati was the place for him. I think Camerron will do very well here, I would be willing to bet that like so many players in the past that come from out of town he ends up settling down here after college. That’s just a guess on my part.
In terms of playing, Camerron will be entering summer camp as an athlete. He has excellent speed as witnessed on Sunday at the senior camp and will have multiple position opportunities to find playing time.
Bearcat Insider will follow up with Camerron, as we get to know him and his family better we will share with you. Congratulations the Cheatham family and the UC coaching staff.
