Several members on the University of Cincinnati football squad earned honors
from the Big East Conference being named to the All-Academic Football Team. With a total of 80 student-athletes
named to the squad, UC followed only West Virginia in the total number of players
to make the squad.
One of the biggest judges of how a program is doing is if student
athletes are earning their education while performing on the football
field. The University of Cincinnati is showing you can build a
strong football program while at the same time have it’s student-athletes excel
in the classroom.
To be recognized by the Big East players must have earned a letter,
completed a minimum of two semesters of academic work and posted a cumulative
grade point average of 3.0 or better.
This year marks the 15th consecutive season the Big East has
honored its student-athletes with an academic team.
