Bearcat Insider has been telling Cincinnati fans about the progress of John Bowie for the past year. He showed many that being healthy allowed him to get the job done on the field. Now see why NFL scouts are taking notice.

While Bearcat fans have known about the exploits of Cincinnati senior defensive back John Bowie during the past year it’s becoming clearer the former Bearcat could soon see his name called during the NFL Draft in April.

On Friday the first annual Texas Vs. The Nation Collegiate All-Star Bowl was played and Bowie who had gone under the radar of many NFL scouts made considerable progress during the week leading up to the game.

As many will remember Bowie posted super times during last years NFL Junior Day and then went on to win a Big East Championship during the track season. This past week Bowie was the fastest player involved with the game timed out at a 4.38 40-yard dash.

The running of this time and the ability he showed during the week may have pushed his draft status into late-round consideration.
