Saturday evening the University of Cincinnati men’s basketball team traveled to Cleveland to take on Ohio University. While the outcome of the game didn’t go the Cat’s way, Bearcat Insider was on hand as Casey Weldon filed these special audio clips from after the game.
Connor Barwin had a long day having started with football practice in Nippert Stadium at 8:00 am on Saturday morning. By evening he was in northern Ohio and played nine minutes for the Bearcats basketball team.

Jamual Warren would score 15 points to go with 3 assists on the night for the Bearcats. Warren went 7-17 from the field and only hit one out of seven shots from behind the three-point arch.

Deonta Vaughn struggled on the night going 2-8 from the field and scoring only 4 points total. He also only dished out 2 assists in the Bearcats loss.

Bearcats head coach Mick Cronin will not be happy seeing his team drop to 9-4 on the season. I’m sure he’s got a few questions about how the Bobcats got to the charity stripe a total of 36 times as compared to the Bearcats 15.

Cincinnati native (Moeller HS) Bubba Walther enjoyed a great night against his hometown team going 5-13 (4-11 3-point) and scoring 18 points on the night during his 33 minutes of play.

Ohio University head coach Tim O’Shea saw his name pop up last year when there was talk of hiring the next Bearcats head coach. O’Shea watched four Bobcats score in double figures against the Bearcats.
