Former University of Cincinnati defensive end Adam Roberts is finding his way
towards his ultimate goal of making it in the NFL.
This past week Roberts had an individual workout for the Green Bay Packers
and posted the following numbers.
40- 4.73 - 4.74
Vertical - 34"
Broad Jump - 9'8.5"
Short Shuttle -
4.40
Pro Shuttle - 7.21
After going through the standard tests, Roberts saw the Packers take a hard
look at him as a linebacker. Considered undersized to play defensive end
at the next level, clubs are interested in seeing if Roberts can make the same
transition former teammate Andre Frazier made last season when the Pittsburgh Steelers signed and watched Frazier become a solid performer.
One thing NFL clubs are learning about Roberts during these individual
workouts is his impressive physically ability. At the next level this
ability is important for teams to find. Not all players will be on the
field as starters and signing a player who can be a solid backup and play
special teams is a must.
Green Bay will not be Adam's last individual workout. The Cincinnati Bengals will also bring Adam in for a workout on April 18th.
Bearcat Insider will keep tabs on all the former Bearcats as the draft
approaches.
