Could Adrion Graves be ready to give Cincinnati a verbal?
That’s the buzz going around from several sources regarding the Hughes High
School and Queen City Prophet prospect.
Just a few days ago it looked as if Xavier and Dayton would be battling to
earn Graves talent. But the Bearcats are said to be back in the hunt and looking
to secure the services of their hometown prospect.
In a year were recruiting has seen its share of hits (Huggins Contract) the
Bearcats staff has stayed on the recruiting trail and could still land the
4-star shooting guard who's seen his summer stock rise. At 6'4, Graves has the
height needed in Coach Huggins offense and the ability to play an up-tempo style
of play.
Dave Telep had this to say about Graves early this month.
"The Cincinnati native is making us look smart
for sneaking him in at No. 100 in our latest set of rankings. Athletic ability
combined with an uncanny knack for heating up behind the arc has led to his name
popping up in conversation all over the gym."
If Graves would give the Bearcats his verbal, he'd be the highest rated
prospect to do so since Coach Huggins contract troubles have became the biggest
news around the basketball program.
