Alex Albright: The Newest Eagle

Scout.com catches up with the newest Eagle, who lets us know why he chose Boston College.

Scout.com caught up with the newest Eagle who hails from Cincinnati Ohio from St. Xavier high school. Alex Albright (6'5", 215, 4.66) a defensive end that will bolster the Eagles front line.

Coach O'Brien who is also a St. Xavier alumnus made quite an impression on Albright and his family. "I choose Boston College because of the location, coaches, and the connection between Coach O'Brien and St. Xavier." "Coach Horton recruited me and he was great, he made sure I knew everything I had to know about B.C. and what it would be like to be a student there."

"I committed on Wednesday after my unofficial visit to the campus, I really liked that fact that there was a lot of other major colleges close by, that also enables B.C to be a smaller school and I really liked that as well."

Albright will study marine science at Boston College. "I really can't wait until I am on campus full time, it's a great place, and I am really excited."

Albright also plays basketball, and is already fully qualified through the clearinghouse.

"I wanted to commit now and get it over with so I could concentrate on my senior season."

Albright also wanted to thank his coach Steve Specht at St. Xavier. "Coach Specht was the reason that I am able to go to Boston College, I owe everything to him, and he really got my information out to schools." "I want to thank him for everything he has done, he has single handedly changed my life forever."

Albright chose Boston College over; Minnesota, Miami (Oh), Bowling Green, Akron, and East Carolina.
