Insider caught with the latest Cincinnati prospect to be offered, he is St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) defensive end Wyatt Ray. The 6-foot-3, 227-pound Ray transferred from Spanish River in his sophomore year to St. Thomas Aquinas. Ray really starting to create interest in his recruiting process, picking up the UC offer.
"It's really awesome to receive an offer from Cincy. It shows that another great school has noticed my play," Ray said.
"Cincinnati is a great city, with dedicated and loyal fans for all of their sports teams," he added. "The Bearcats have a good coaching staff and a program that is really on the rise."
Ray's recruiting process is really picking up and drawing attention from others besides Cincinnati. "The recruiting process has been good. I currently have an offer from Western Michigan and I've been talking to coaches from Northern Illinois a lot lately," he said.
With one year left at St. Thomas Aquinas, Ray would like to improve on last season where he had 32 tackles, 4.5 sacks, force fumble, fumble recovery and one interception which he returned for a touchdown. "Heading into my senior year I am really looking forward to improving at everything. I want to perfect my pass rush most of all and get to the quarterback a lot."
