Sean Kilpatrick returned to his sharp shooting self in Tuesday's contest against Temple.

Cincinnati senior guard Sean Kilpatrick after Tuesday night's game against Temple seems to have rediscovered his lethal shooting stroke that was seemingly absent in the past five games. Kilpatrick's 23 points vaulted him to sixth place on the Bearcats' all-time scoring list, passing the late Pat Cummings. Right now, Kilpatrick is just 11 points away from surpassing Roger McClendon for fifth place on the all-time Bearcat scoring list.

During the 1st half of Tuesday's night game, Kilpatrick was 4 for 9 from the field and 2 for 4 from three-point range and accumulated 10 point with the Bearcats hanging on to a two-point lead against the Temple.

However, the second half was an entirely different story for the senior from Yonkers, New York. He became more aggressive in driving the ball into the paint and when it came to his three-point shot, he got scorching hot from the land beyond. He played a vital part in the Bearcats slowly pulling away from Owls as he hit three crucial three-pointers in the last 5:18 of the game as the Bearcats emerged victorious over the Temple Owls 69-58.

After the game, when asked if he had rediscovered his lethal shooting flow, with his humble smile, calmly replied, "I hadn't really paid attention to the stats, every shot that I've taken, I'm always trying to think two or three steps ahead to slow the other team down."

When asking senior Justin Jackson about Kilpatrick's big game and if the old Kilpatrick is back, "'Old Kilpatrick?' The old one never left. He's been the same guy that we've been playing with for the past couple of years. He's still one of the hardest players we've got on this team". Immediately, he was also asked if it surprised him that Kilpatrick sank six three-pointers, "To be honest, it surprises me everytime he misses a shot".

Kilpatrick's final statistics: 23 points, 8-19 FG, 6-13 3-pt FG, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals.
