For Cincinnati it was a night of career-best and double-doubles as they improved to 10-2 on the season; 9-0 at home. A total of eight players either tied or set a new career scoring high in the contest. Justin Jackson was named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week Monday, he finished the game with his fourth season and career double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds.
Jackson also added four blocks on the night, moving him into fourth on the Bearcats all-time list pass Donald Little who had 153 career blocks, Jackson now has 156 for his career.
Sean Kilpatrick lead UC in scoring with 21 points while recording a double-double for himself adding 10 rebounds. Jermaine Sanders finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds, his first career double-double. With three players recording double-doubles, it was the first time three players have finished with double-doubles since Leonard Stokes, Steve Logan and Jason Maxiell did vs Coppin State on Dec. 8, 2001.
Joining in on the night of best, Shaquille Thomas added a career-high of 14 points and freshman Kevin Johnson scored a career-best 10 points for the Bearcats. UC dominated the boards, pulling down a Fifth Third Arena best of 69 rebounds; previous record was 56 rebounds.
UC goes into the holiday break giving it's fans a huge blowout win for a gift. They return to the court at Fifth Third Arena Saturday against Big Ten's Nebraska, tip-off at Noon. While UC football team takes on ACC's North Carolina in the Belk Bowl at 3:40.
