Sophomore Impressed With Buckeye Win

Although only a sophomore, things are happening in the recruiting world for tailback Darrin Hall. He currently holds a Nebraska offer, and Saturday he took his first unofficial visit to Ohio State.

Urban Meyer knows too well that it's never too early to start the recruiting process with talented prospects, and Saturday's game with Michigan saw Ohio State host several recruits.

There weren't too many 2015 prospects invited, but one who was in attendance was Austintown Fitch tailback Darrin Hall, 6-foot, 185-pounds.

"It was an awesome experience being at Ohio State, and I loved seeing the players doing the cals with the student section," Hall stated. "It was my first game at Ohio State, and I couldn't have seen a better game. We got there early and my parents and I had a great time. I couldn't believe the atmosphere at the game."

"It made me feel good to be given the chance to go to the game, being that I'm only a sophomore," he added. "Being there really motivates me to get back in the weight room, and make myself better. I've always liked Ohio State and yesterday's visit really raised them up in my eyes. Having (teammate) Billy Price there will be a plus too, and he and I are good friends."

Hall, who holds an offer from Nebraska at this time, is just starting to hit the recruiting radar following an ultra-productive season. He brings great speed to the table, and is looking to get bigger and stronger.

"Right now, my speed and vision are the things people really like," he explained. "I need to work on getting my legs stronger, and getting my weight up over the 200-pound mark."

Hall's explosiveness, size and speed will make him one of the top prospects in Ohio for the class of 2015. Recommended Stories
