Leath started a little slow but then really picked things up with several nice plays against Southeast, including a second half sack and perhaps a touchdown saving tackle on a kickoff return. He mainly played defensive end but did slide inside on a few occasions. Sometimes he lined up with his hand in the dirt and sometimes he was standing up. Leath moves well for a kid close to 300-pounds. He showed that when he gets his hands on the guy across from him he's tough to block.
Look for Leath to become a full time defensive tackle at the next level. He could start off in the Juco ranks and certainly has BCS talent and upside at this time.
Below are some highlights of Leath from his game against Bradenton Southeast this past Friday.
